It has been 3 months since the COVID-19 outbreak in Singapore and become pandemic now. Stay strong, we strong together, we fight together, we can get through this together. And today I have good news, yes school assistance for April 2020 has been distributed. And I also sent little help for the kids and one of down syndrome dorm school. Not much, but I hope my little help would give them strength. I just want to see, just a little smile on them.

First, the good news is my friend, Riche, who helps me to distribute the money for the kids every month, she gave birth, and it's a boy! Congratulation! I am happy about it! 😊 Second, the good news is the kids receive their monthly school assistant. Last night, a message came and said that the kids took their money. Likely, Novi and Uun came together to get their money, and Suci came alone. Both news gives me a little smile during the pandemic.

This April 2020, Novi received IDR 275.000; Usually, she receives IDR 175.000; every month for her school assistant, but this April I gave her additional IDR 100.000; to help her family during the pandemic. While Uun and Suci, they received IDR 225.000; each. It same as Novi, I gave them additional IDR 100.000; each of them to help their family during the pandemic. Usually, Uun and Suci receive IDR 125.000; every month for their school assistant. The pandemic impacted in many sectors. My friend, Riche, told me that in her place since the COVID-19 becomes pandemic many things start to rise, the price sounds unbelievable especially for the mask. Sugar and egg prices have gone up, some ingredient also goes up. So, this is why I decided to give them little help.

Another thing that I have done is give little help to one of the dorm schools in Indonesia, it's down syndrome dorm school. I decided to give them little help, IDR 400.000; This money is to buy hand soap. Down syndrome kids who lives in the school dorm need hand soap. As you know, due to the coronavirus situation we need to wash our hands frequently, so I think hand soap is important. Not much, but I hope they could use the money wisely.

If we back in 2017, I started to open my Etsy shop (Ichikraft) and selling my work, cat collars and many kinds of ribbon flowers (brooch, hair clip, barrette, ties, etc). Since then, every time when I got the order I just save the money and haven't taken the money until today. Yes, I gave IDR 400.000; to down syndrome dorm, and IDR 300.000; to help the kids family (Novi, Uun, and Suci), all of that money came from Ichikraft. I am happy to do that. Unfortunately, my Etsy shop, Ichikraft will be closed in July 2020. But, Ichikraft Give and Care will still help them. It means I'll still help them even if I am going to close my Etsy shop, Ichikraft, in July 2020.

Today I am gonna share what good news from Ichikraft Give and Care. Yes, the school assistant for the kids has been distributed. I always happy when my friend, Riche, sending a message to me. Because it means good news! The best moment in my life is when I can help others, especially kids who need help for their school. I am trying the best I could to help them, not much but at least I can give hope to them. Little acts for big hope.

On Friday night last week, Riche sent me a message that the kids had taken their money. Looks like Novi and Uun came together at Riche's house while Suci came alone, but they came on the same day. But sometimes they come together to take their money when they have time together. I am happy to see how they connect to each other, I hope they will help each other too in the future. I have a big hope that hoping they will get a beautiful future. I believe that school will bring you from nowhere to somewhere, from nothing to beautiful things.

Well, as usual, they receive a school assistant every month. Novi receives IDR 175.000; while Uun and Suci receive IDR 125.000; every month. Yes, the money is come from our monthly salary, not from the Ichikraft shop. Yes, my big plan in the future, I hope my Ichikraft shop can help me to help the kids. As you know Ichikraft named after my cat, yes my cat name is Ichi. Ichi in Japanese means one. And yes my cat inspired me to open shop. That's a long story by the way.

Hi, all of you, long time no see. Here we are again. I would like to share the good news. What is it? I bet you know already. Yes, the school assistant for this month has been distributed. I am happy to share this news with you guys... I, especially, I am glad for it because many years ago I just like them. Now, it's my turn to help others.

Well, yesterday my friend who helps me to distribute the money for the kids sent me a message that the kids had taken their money at her house. As you know my friend is getting pregnant now, so the kids take the money by themself. My friend visited their house every month before, but not now. And I am thankful to my friend because she is a volunteer to help me. It means, there is no salary that I could give to her. Thank you so much, friend!

Like another month before, every kid receives some money from us to support their school. If you hear that in Indonesia school is free, but is not like that. The parent still needs to buy a school bag, school shoes, uniform, books, pen, pencil, any other school tools. For some parent is nothing, but for the kid that comes from a poor family, this is issues or problem. For example, Novi parent's monthly income around SGD 20 or IDR 200.000; She has 2 siblings, and a grandma that lives with them. With income SGD 20 a month, it hard for this family. That why I have to help Novi, and 2 others.

This February 2020, Novi received IDR 175.000; Uun received IDR 125.000; Suci received IDR 125.000; For information, Novi is in Secondary school now, Uun and Suci are still in Elementary school. When Uun and Suci are in secondary school then their monthly assistant will same as Novi. I hope they could use this money wisely. I know not much, but at least they can buy books or a school bag when they need it.

January 2020 School Assistant Has Been Distributed

Hi all of you, how are you today? I hope you are doing fine and so is your family. Today I am gonna share our good news! Yes! The school assistant for January 2020 has been distributed. You are excited to hear about it, aren't you? I also have the same feeling that I am so glad and grateful that we could help others in this life. Especially, I have to help other kids that good at school but they come from poor families. Not much and just some kids, but it's good things in my life.

Yesterday, my friend, Riche, told me that the kids came to Riche's house and receive their money. As you know, my friend helps me to distribute the money to the kids every month. She visited the kid's house every month before. Since she got pregnant, the kids come over every month to Riche's house and take their money. Yes, my husband and I send the kid's money once every two months. So, where is the money come from? It comes from our money. We save some money from a month's salary to help these kids. I hope they could reach their dream. I know it isn't easy but I believe they are tough kids and will work hard to reach their dream.

Speaking of which, this month, Novi got IDR 175.000;,  Uun got IDR 125.000;, and Suci got IDR 125.000;. I hope they could use this money wisely. I know, it isn't much but it enough to buy school shoes or a school bag if they need them. But I was surprised when I knew that Suci went to English tuition and paid it with this money. Unfortunately, the tuition was closed. And it's hard when we just come from a small village. Because there are no facilities that enough to make students (from the village) "grow". And the hard thing is most of the villagers are poor families. But I believe these kids will work hard to get a better future. I believe it.

I am so proud of these kids. You know, even if they are come from poor families and don't have enough facilities to study but they are awesome! Suci for example, she's a top student, she sits in the first place in her class! Others, Novi sits in the second place in her class. And Uun has good at sport. Her volleyball team got first place in the competition. Every kid is special. They have a special talent or good at something. I am so proud! 👍👍

Hooray... it's December! I have good news that the school assistant for this month has been distributed. I am kinda quite late to write this article because the kids had received the money about a week ago. Well, my notebook is broken so I couldn't write it at the time. I couldn't do any kind of activities such as writing, update articles, do update my Etsy shop, etc. But, today I am going to tell you that December 2019 school assistant has been distributed.

First of all, I would like to say Merry Christmas to all of you and Happy New Year. By the end of this year, I am happy and grateful. Thanks to my friend, Riche, who helps me to distribute this money to the kids. I am also thankful that we have been going through all year together, so this program has succeeded.  Even if it just 3 kids but I am thankful for that and hoping we could help more villager kids in 2020. This is our little act for big hope.

As usual, these 3 kids receive school assistant fee every month. Each other could receive different amounts of money. It depends, two kids in elementary school, 1 kid is in junior school. Novi, who is in junior school, she receives IDR 175.000; a month, other kids, Uun and Suci, they receive IDR 125.000; a month.  With this amount of money, they can use it to buy school books, a bag, shoes, uniforms, or any other school things. I know it's not much, but I hope they can use this money very very wisely.

You want to know about things that I always proud of them? They are tough kids. Like I said in the other article, Novi for example, she works after school to help her parent in the field. She comes home in the evening.  Besides that, all of them are working hard at school. They come from poor family yet they smart at school. With limited facilities, they can achieve something. For example, Suci is always in the top 3 in class, Novi is also in top 2 in class, and Uun, she has talent at the sport. This semester, Uun and her team got the volleyball champion. Wow, I amaze...!

You are doing great job kids, well done! I am so proud of you. I believe they have a dream, and hope someday they can get it. It doesn't matter where they come from. Because the future hasn't written yet, they could work hard for what they want in this life. One thing that I always believe, school is important and can change people's lives in the future. November 2019 Tuition Assistance Has Been Distributed

Hello November! Time is flying fast and we haven't realized it. Today I have good news for you that tuition assistance has been distributed to the kids. Who are they? These kids are poor villager kid that want to school. Maybe they are born and grow up in the small village, but who's know the future? Someone said, "tomorrow is history, today is a give, tomorrow is a mystery. Yes, they are good kids and smart.

Yesterday my friend, Riche, she told me that the kids had taken their money at her home. My friend visited their home every month before to send the money. But not now, because of my friend's pregnant. There is a bad road between Riche's home and the kids, that why my friend can't send the money anymore. It's a common problem in the village, bad roads, bad transportation, bad electric, and many other problems. How do I know all about this, because I was born and grew up in a small village too! The only hope is education. Believe me, education is important. This is my reason why I am helping them.

How much money they get every month? Novi gets IDR 175.000; each month, Uun and Suci get IDR 125.000; each month. And the amount of money they receive will increase along with the level of education they take. For now, Uun and Suci are still in elementary school, while Novi is in Junior school. With this money, they could buy a school bag, school shoes, or even books. So, the parents didn't worry anymore, their kids can buy a bag or shoes.

You know about something? These kids are tough. Novi for example, she helps her parent work in the field yet her academic is awsome! You can believe that she is smart kids in her school. Other, Uun and Suci, they are also good kids. Uun, even if she is not as smart as Novi, but she has a spirit to go to school every day and trying hard at her education. How about Suci? She is also an awesome kid! She is one of the smart kids at school. She started English tuition without notice. I didn't know it. Unfortunately, the class is over because the teacher was quit. Welcome to the village, there is no education facility, it hard to find tuition such as English class, art class, music class, and others.

We have good news! Now we are helping 3 villager kids in Indonesia. They are good at school but their parent is a poor villager. Yesterday our friend, Riche, who help me to distribute the money (tuition assistance) every month, told me that the kids had taken their money at Riche's home. Before, my friend visited their home. We helped 4 other kids before. Read my article before to find out about these 4 kids.

Every month we give some money to these 3 kids. One of them is in junior school and receives IDR 175.000; each month. Her name is Novi. 2 other kids receive IDR 125.000; each month. Their names are Uun and Suci. These 2 kids are still studying in elementary school. For the past few years, we have been doing this. Read other articles to know more about Ichikraft Give and Care. Even if Ichikraft business started in 2017, but we have been helping villagers kids since 2013. And since 2018 we are trying to help down syndrome kids. Some of my designs are dedicated to them.

It's not much but I hope that I could help these villagers kids to continue their school. I believe that they have a dream in their life. The school will bring someone from nowhere to somewhere. They are tough kids. Novi, for example, works after school. Helping her parents in the field and cames back home in the evening. Yet she is a clever kid at school. It's amazing!

Bulan September 2019, oh kabut asap kembali lagi ke Singapura. Tetapi saya bukan untuk menuliskan artikel tentang kabut asap, disini tentu saja saya ingin menuliskan kabar gembira dimana anak-anak penerima beasiswa dari Ichikraft Give and Care telah menerima uangnya. Bagi yang belum tahu bahwa Tunas Bangsa Camp telah berpindah menjadi Ichikraft Give and Care. Hal ini karena beberapa pertimbangan mengingat saya punya branding yaitu Ichikraft.

Ya, kemarin malam saya menerima pesan dari kawan baik yaitu Riche, dimana Riche memberitahukan bahwa bantuan biaya sekolah bulan ini yaitu September 2019 telah diserahkan pada anak-anak. Bedanya kali ini biasanya Riche yang mendatangi rumah anak-anak, tetapi kali ini anak-anaklah yang datang kerumah Riche untuk mengambil uangnya. Hal ini bukanlah tanpa alasan, mengingat Riche saat ini sedang hamil. Wah, selamat ya Riche untuk kehamilannya, jaga kesehatan mudah-mudahan Riche dan calon bayi sehat sampai hari kelahiran, amiinn...

Seperti biasa Suci dan Uun masing-masing menerima bantuan biaya sekolah atau kata gampangnya beasiswa sebesar Rp. 125.000; Sementara untuk Novi menerima Rp. 175.000; Mudah-mudahan uangnya bisa sedikit membantu dan meringankan beban biaya sekolah. Harapan saya, saya dan suami hanya ingin agar anak-anak ini tidak putus sekolah, terus semangat bersekolah apapun yang terjadi. Dan saya bangga dengan mereka ini.

Percayalah bahwa sekolah bisa merubah nasib seseorang dimasa mendatang. "School is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today" - Malcolm X   Kalau ada yng bilang sekolah hanya buang-buang uang itu adalah salah karena sekolah sesungguhnya adalah sebuah investasi kita dimasa depan.  Bila ada yang bilang anak desa adalah orang gila karena miskin tidak punya uang tapi mau sekolah tinggi. Ini adalah sebuah "bully" maka biarkan saja. Banyak cerita diluar sana mereka berasal dari desa bahkan dari ujung timur Indonesia tapi mereka berhasil sekolah sampai ke luar negeri. Kok bisa? Bisa! Maka semangat sekolah selalu untuk Novi, Uun, dan Suci!

Bantuan Biaya Sekolah Bulan Agustus 2019 Sudah Disalurkan

Sudah akan berakhir bulan Agustus ini, tapi ada hal yang membahagiakan untuk kami karena bantuan biaya sekolah atau beasiswa bulan ini sudah disalurkan. Dan kami juga berhabgia karena salah satu anak-anak yang menerima bantuan biaya sekolah dari kami telah memulai tahun ajaran baru di bangku Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Berarti sudah 2 orang anak yang sudah berhasil lulus dibangku Sekolah Dasar. Ya, saya/ penulis pribadi senang karena ditengah-tengah keterbatasan mereka tetap semangat sekolah dan tidak putus sekolah! Semangat!

Tepatnya kemarin sore (tanggal 22 Agustus 2019) kawan baik kami, Riche, memberitahukan bahwa ia sudah menyalurkan uang bantuan biaya sekolah/ beasiswa untuk anak-anak ini. Mungkin bagi kawan yang belum mengetahui, bahwa kami memberikan uang bantuan biaya sekolah/ beasiswa untuk 3 orang anak untuk saat ini. Sebelumnya sudah ada 4 orang anak yang sudah kami bantu dimana salah satunya sudah lulus dari bangku Sekolah Dasar tahun 2017 dan terpaksa kami menghentikan uang bantuan sekolah karena anak ini pindah domisili ditambah salah seorang dari kawan yang membantu juga mengundurkan diri. Ya, harap maklum ya karena pekerjaan ini adalah kerja sukarela dan tidak ada gaji yang kami berikan. Semua dikerjakan dengan ketulusan hati dan tanpa pamrih. Jadi seandainya ada yang mengundurkan diri itu wajar.  Sementara 3 orang lainnya terpaksa kami menghentikan bantuan biaya sekolahnya karena kawan kami yang membantu penyaluran uang ini telah meninggal dunia (waktu tidak terasa cepat berlalu) dan tidak ada yang meneruskannya.  Dan saat ini ada 3 orang anak yang kami bantu biaya sekolahnya tiap bulannya, dimana kawan kami Riche lah yang membantu menyalurkan uangnya tiap bulan. Ya, seperti yang sudah kami utarakan dalam artikel-artikel sebelumnya dimana kami mengatakan bahwa setelah memasuki bangku Sekolah Menengah Pertama anak-anak yang kami bantu biaya sekolahnya akan menerima beasiswa sebesar Rp. 175.000; tiap bulannya. Tadinya kami menentukan Rp. 160.000; tiap bulan bagi yang sudah masuk Sekolah Menegah Pertama, tetapi kami merubahnya menjadi Rp. 175.000; tiap bulannya. Saat ini ada Novi (Dwi Novita Sari) yang sudah masuk bangku Sekolah Menengah Pertama, sehingga mulai bulan Juli 2019 lalu ia sudah menerima beasiswa sebesar Rp. 175.000; tiap bulan. Sementara dua orang lainnya masih di bangku Sekolah Dasar dan masih menerima Rp. 125.000; tiap bulannya.

Harapan kami, kami hanya ingin mereka tetap semangat untuk terus bersekolah meskipun mereka berasal dari desa dengan keadaan orangtua kurang mampu. Karena saya/ penulis selalu percaya satu hal bahwa sekolah akan merubah nasib seseoang dimasa mendatang dan tentu saja dibarengi dengan usaha keras. Karena, meskipun kita sekolah dan pintar sekalipun belum tentu masa depan kita bagus, dan sebaliknya sekalipun kepandaikan kita pas-pasan belum tentu juga kita akan tertinggal dan tidak bagus masa depannya. Semua keberhasilan dimasa depan dan kehidupan yang lebih baik dimasa depan akan ditentukan oleh banyak faktor.
