Yesterday night my dearest friend, Riche, sent me a message. This message said that Novi, Uun, and Suci, came to her house and got their school assistance for this month. The new semester has just begun, and I hope with this little help they are able to provide what they need to support their study. As you know, they are still on home-based learning which means online school since last year when COVID-19 struck our world. They use almost 70% - 80% of this school assistance to pay for the internet bill. It is crucial due to the coronavirus year when we are talking about the internet to support online learning. Unlike in the big city where everything sounds and easy, for a family who lives in poverty and stays in a remote village, the pandemic is another issue.

Just last month when my husband and I watched the news on television when we saw many students in Indonesia dropped out. I felt broken heart even though I didn't know them. During the pandemic, lots of parents lost their job and their household income is zero. Many of them rely on the government hand just to get daily food. The parent could not pay the monthly tuition fee which meant the children must drop out. For me, it's a sad story in this tumultuous time, the COVID-19 crisis. Therefore, whatever you can do, help others during this rough time, for instance maybe food, school assistance, clothes, sharing your skill; anything...please help others who need help.

This month, Uun and Suci got IDR 125,000 each for their school assistance. And IDR 100,000 each to support their family during the pandemic. Meanwhile, Novi, got IDR 175,000 and an additional IDR 100,000 to support her family due to the coronavirus crisis.

This May 2021, we also gave a donation to one of the down syndrome schools in Indonesia. This money was special to provide food and snacks for down syndrome students who live in the school dorms during school holidays. And I am happy when I saw the pictures that they ate properly. Maybe many of you think that meat such as chicken is just your ordinary meal. But you know, this world is big, there are many people out there who can not afford to buy chicken, and for them, chicken is a luxury meal.

Many thanks to my friend, Riche, who always help me to distribute the money for these children. Keep your courage, stay safe and healthy, bye!🙂🖐

Hi, all of you, how you doing? Well, today I am going to share the good news that the 3 children who receive monthly school assistance had received their money for this March 2021.

Last Saturday night my dearest friend, Riche, sent me a message that said the children came and took their monthly assistance. These 3 children are Novi who attend Secondary school, while Uun and Suci both attend elementary school. I think soon Novi will go to a high school or senior school. Meanwhile, Uun and Suci will go to Secondary school. I am looking forward to seeing them grow up!
Monthly school assistance depends on what level of school they attend for instance elementary school, secondary school, or high school. That is why Novi has received more than two others. This monthly assistance is also along with another assistance, for example, additional money to support their family during pandemics. Sometimes, we give a special treat when they achieve something.

Same like another month before, this March 2021 school assistance is IDR 175,000 for Novi, IDR 125,000 both Suci and Uun got the same amount of money. In addition, we gave IDR 100,000 for one each of them.

We want these children to keep stay at school. I do not want them to drop off and marry at a such young age. I had seen many childhood friends who ended up with the sad fate, married at 12-14 years old which meant before 17 years. You can read about Child marriages: Education is The Key to Solve Social Issues here the link https://ichi-journey.blogspot.com/2021/03/child-marriages-education-is-key-to.html

We hope these children will see how important education is. I want them to understand how education can change their life by working hard on it. Go get your school kids! and work hard for your dream!

School assistance for Suci in February 2021 is IDR 125,000 additional IDR 100,00 to support her family during the COVID-19 situation
I am glad that finally, I could penned-down this article. Like another month, this month is the same as before that the children who receive our school assistance had taken their monthly money. And I am grateful they are in good shape and still in high spirits to study hard to determine their dream. I like children who challenge their limits which means regardless of where they come from, school is number one to pursue a good future. I like the spirit that lives in their heart.

Talking about "spirit" that life in people who live in poverty and hard life, it completely something different from others who live in sound and comfort life and maybe it much more "struggle." Someone said, "Successful without struggling is no value in it." Does someone like these children could have a successful life someday? Definitely, I am no doubt about it! Nothing is impossible!👍

Going back to what I had been experienced that most people looked down on me and doubt my dream to study at a university and got a degree because my father only earned about $4 a month for living. A dreamer and a crazier girl that's how they bullied me. Instead of going mad at them, I worked hard on my dream. A few years later a crazier girl went to study at a university then got a degree. Nowadays, this dreamer is still pursuing her academics.

Last Saturday, my dearest friend, Riche, sent me a message that the kids had come to Riche's in-law's house and took their money. Riche told me that now her family has stayed in her father-in-law temporarily because her house is under renovation now. So, the children visited Riche's in-law's house. But do not worry, the place is in the same village so that is not a big issue for the kids.
In February 2021, Novi received IDR 175,000 for her school assistance and an additional IDR 100,000 to support her family due to the coronavirus situation. Meanwhile, Uun and Suci got IDR 125,000 each of them, in addition, both received IDR 100,000 to support their family during the Covid-19 crisis.
During the COVID-19 situation, my husband and I decided to give additional money to support the kid's family. We do this action to give little help and hope they are still having a smile on the face in a tumultuous time. If you are following my another blog, The Journey of Ichi's Family, I wrote on how to make the 4-layer mask and mentioned that the COVID-19 crisis makes life harder for people who live in poverty; which one they choose, buying food or masks to protect their family from the Coronavirus. The link is here https://ichi-journey.blogspot.com/2021/02/making-diy-4-layer-mask-with-felt-as.html Moreover, some of the food ingredient prices go up due to the pandemic. Furthermore, last year we also gave little help to a down syndrome school in Indonesia to buy hand-wash and money to buy food for children who live in the school dormitory. Little acts for a big hope, that's what Ichikraft Give and Care can do.

Many thanks to my friend, Riche, for helping us to distribute the money for the children. Without her hands, we could not reach them. And thank you for reading my article. I hope you can also help people who need help. Just a little help and support, believe me, it becomes a big hope for them.

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am grateful that we got through the tumultuous time last year due to the coronavirus situation. I hope the new year will bring hope for all of us.

So, I would like to share good news from us that yesterday afternoon my dearest friend, Riche, sent a message to me about school assistance. She said that the money has been distributed to the 3 children who receive assistance from us monthly.

If you are following our article then you know that we are trying to help some villager children. Not much, but I do hope our actions will give them a little light in the darkness. Why is that, "darkness"? It means even though they live in poverty, but they could fight for a better future. School is the answer to reach and make a dream come true! For some or many people, at least from the place where I come from, studying at a school and university is not a priority because they think it just wastes money and a degree is useless. However, I disagree with this view based on my own experience in the past and prove to myself that school is important for my future life. Even until this day, I still pursue my academics.

This month is like another month that each of these kids receives assistance based on the school they attend. For instance, elementary school or secondary school. How much they get? Well, Novi got IDR 175.000; for her school assistance and IDR 100.000; for her family during the pandemic. Meanwhile, Uun and Suci received IDR 125.000; each for their school assistance, and an additional IDR 100.00; for each to support their family due to the coronavirus crisis.

Hopefully, with this little help, these kids endure the situation that they encountered. Believe me, being born and grow up in a poor family is not easy. In the past, I saw my friends ended up drop out and chose to help their families by working in the field or cheaper labor. I wish they had a choice, but they didn't have that privilege. Many of them were smart and talented children that could grow up as doctor or professor. I remember my classmate at an elementary school, he was a talented child. At such a young age, he could draw and paint like a master. I learned from him how to draw a tree. Unfortunately, he hadn't shown up at a secondary school. Well, it just one of them!

Hi, all of you, how you doing? Well, I have good news today that I want to share with all of you. What is it? Of course, it is about the monthly school assistance that we gave to the kids. Who's knows, right, we are at the end of the year now and I hope for the best in next following year ahead.
Last night my dearest friend, Riche, sent me a message that the kids came to her house and had taken their money. As you know, since Riche got pregnant and now she has a baby, the kids come over to her house every month to take their school assistance. Unlike before, my friend, Riche, who the one came to the kid's house every month to distribute the money.
Unlike a month before, this month is different because my husband and I decided to give them a little reward to the kids. What kind of reward is that? Well, for all of their hard works at school it time for me to cheer them up with a little happiness by giving them additional money, called it an appreciation reward.
In past, I always received a reward from my father when I could show achievement at school. My father asked me, "what do you want?" Whatever I asked he would have taken me to the shop and bought something that I want. Well, typically, I asked for school shoes, however, sometimes I asked for things that unusual such as "executive bag" can't you believe that? When I remember that time I always feel silly 😅 I was in grade 3 at the time. You know what, my father went to the city after work and bought a square brown leather bag, it was an "executive bag" that I wanted. Unfortunately, that "executive bag" had a long size and little big compare to my body that very skinny and hadn't grown tall enough. A few days later my father came back home from work and brought a dark brown "executive bag" with a square size that I could carry. The next day I went to school with that bag and felt proud to carry it even though my friends bullied me because my bag was weird for kids. Of course, it was a weird bag because it supposes an executive employee who will carry this kind of bag with an important document inside, not a 7 years old kid 😂😁
School assistance for Suci in December 2020 is IDR 125,000, an additional IDR 100,000 to support her family during the pandemic, and IDR 100,000 is an appreciation reward for Suci - Photographed by Riche's collection
Besides giving a reward for my hard work at school, my father also gave me a gift for some occasion events such as when he got a bonus from the company, a birthday gift, and also when the festive season came. Usually for birthday gifts my father just simply asked me what I wanted to buy, and it was the same: school shoes. Meanwhile, a gift for the festive season was always a new dress, basically a beautiful dress. The only one that different was when my father got a bonus; he would buy an expensive gift for me like a necklace.
School assistance for this month (December 2020) has been distributed at Riche's house - Photographed by Riche's collection
At the time many people around my father disagreed on how my father treated me by giving a lot of rewards and many gifts. They said I was a "spoil-brat" kid. But, my father kept quiet and silent and hadn't provoked them not even once. After 1995, my father was just the cheapest labor at a factory and couldn't buy a reward or gift for me anymore even the cheaper ones. Then what happened? Believe it or not, I still became one of the best students at school and achieve something that not every student could have. Moreover, I started working at 11 to earn money for bought or paid my school expenses or anything daily life I needed.
What is the point of the reward in my story? This is what I have believed until today that my father knew I would achieve something at school whether he gave me a reward/ gift or not. I studied hard because I wanted to, not because I would receive a reward/ gift from my father. A reward/ gift that my father gave me was just something to cheer me or I deserved it. One thing that my father taught me was that "school is important for my future life, go get to higher education and become an educated person." That why I had a good academic record, and still pursue my academics until today.
School assistance for Uun in December 2020 is IDR 125,000, an additional IDR 100,000 to support her family during the coronavirus crisis, and IDR 100,000 is an appreciation reward for Uun - Photographed by Riche's collection
We gave a reward for Novi, Uun, and Suci this month is because they deserve it, and I just want to appreciate them for their hard work at school. If you are following Ichikraft Give and Care then you know that Novi also works after school to help her parent at the field sometimes. How about another kid? Like other villager's kids, they are also helping their parents doing household chores. One thing that I admire about them, although they have difficulties in life, they still maintain to achieve something at school without facilities such as a computer, enough books, access internet, et cetera. That the reason why I help them and give school assistance.
How much the kids got? Novi received IDR 175,000 for her school assistance, IDR 100,000 to support her family during the pandemic, and IDR 100,000 for an appreciation reward. Meanwhile, Uun and Suci, each received IDR 125,000 for their school assistance, IDR 100,000 to support their family during the coronavirus crisis for each, and each got IDR 100,000 for an appreciation reward.
Many thanks to my friend, Riche, who always help me to distribute the money for the kids. I hope with this little support these kids can reach their dream and have a better life in the future. "School is the passport to get a better life in the future; will bring us from nothing to something, from nowhere to somewhere."

Time flies faster than I thought and didn't realize the year 2020 will end soon. My big question is; what I have done during this year? I know, the world is changing rapidly with this unprecedented crisis. But, as a human being is our nature to survive, right? Embracing the situation and adapting to the changes will lead us to become a strong people. So, hang in there, what I've believed that there is a light after the storm.

Speaking of which, yesterday my dearest friend, Riche, sent a message that the kids, Novi, Uun, and Suci, came to her house and had received their monthly assistance. As you know Ichikraft Give and Care gives school assistance to villager kids who want to school. Like I have said that it is not much, but I hope we could give little help at least buying a school bag, shoes, books, etc. Nowadays, they use most of the money to support the online school. Unlike in modern cities or countries, it more challenging and a lot of effort when we are talking about facilities in the village. Believe me, not only students but the teachers have also struggled in this coronavirus year.

The amount of money that the kids receive is the same as a month before. Novi, she received IDR 175.000; for her school assistance this month, and an additional IDR 100.000; to support her family during the pandemic. Meanwhile Uun and Suci, IDR 125.000; each for their school assistance, and also IDR 100.000; each to support their family during the crisis.

The Covid-19 crisis struck the economy and education badly in the place where the kids live with their families. Even before the coronavirus year, the family works hard just only to buy food. Sending the kids to school is not the priority because there is no chance for poor children to go to school. In this case, giving additional support during the pandemic will give them hope to get through this situation. Regardless of race, language, and religion, we should help each other.

Many thanks to my friend, Riche, who helps me to distribute the money every month. Without her hands, there is impossible for us to reach these kids. What I hope is always the same wishes; they study hard at school, working hard for their dream, and never give up whatever it takes.
